Future Projects - Looking Ahead
To maintain, preserve and disseminate our culture, heritage, and history we have proposed and hope to bring the following projects to light in the near future.
The Illyrians
A documentary about the history and culture of Europe's greatest forgotten people. Before the dawn of Classical Greece and the rise of the the Roman Empire there were the Illyrians. An ancient culture that contributed to the formation and development of Western Civilization.
Lahuta e Malsise
Historical docudrama of the man, Gjergj Fishta, and his authorship of the national epic of Albania. Lahuta e Malcis (The Highland Lute ) is a historical epic, a panorama of northern Albanian history from 1862 to 1913 which mirrors the long Albanian struggle for freedom and independence. The Highland Lute is a work of great significance to the Albanian people and, at the same time, constitutes the first Albanian-language contribution to world literature.
Isa Boletini
A historical documentary of Isa Boletini; The Lion of Kosova. Isa Boletini was an Albanian nationalist that fought for the unity and autonomy of Albania against the Ottoman Empire during the war for Albanian independence. His great charge and goal during his lifetime was that his beloved Kosova and the rest of the Albanian lands be united into a single nation.
Albanian Anthology
A documentary about Albanian highland tales and fables. The mythology and folk culture of the Albanian people is a unique and colorful pageant of warriors, mountain fairies, dragons and witches. The richness and diversity of these tales surpass even those of the brothers Grimm.
Prenk Cali
A documentary of the legendary Prenk Cali; The Frontier Warrior. Prenk Cali was a leader of the great northern Albanian tribe of Kelmendi, a life dedicated to protecting and defending his people and their way of life against all those that dared enter his land. He fought against the imperialism of the Turks, the nationalism of the Serbs, and was one of the first martyr’s against communism.
