The Education Directory cheats on students
Korce- The third classes’ high-school students in Korca have started a protest for the money they paid for the books, which turned to be out of the teaching programme for this academic year.In the end of the last academic year, more exactly, a month before the end, there were distributed a package of books to the high-school students of many villages of Korca district. It was a strange decision surprising the students and even the teachers. Back then, the Education Directory of this district justified this action with the preparations for the coming academic year. But, as soon as the new academic year started, it turned out to be a machination of the ED to clear out the depot from the remaining quantity of books. Soon, it was revealed that the books’ package for the third class was not included in this year’s programme and the officials of this directory already knew about it because it was worked on and discussed about this issue for a long time. As soon as the school started, it was communicated to students that these text-books could not be used therefore they should by new ones. The students thought that after having bought the useless text books for two thousand lek, the new ones would have been provided free of charge. But it did not happened like they thought, because they were asked to pay the same amount of money also for the new package. Thus, the students along with their parents protested verbally at the high-schools’ directories, but they were told it was not directories’ fault but of the Education Directory, while the former officials of ED diverted it to the ministry of education.
